“AS SOON AS WE SPOKE TO TOM WE KNEW
HE WAS GOING TO BE OUR PHOTOGRAPHER.
He managed to capture stunning emotional moments without us even really recognising he was there. Tom you are phenomenal and we are blown away - thank you so so much for everything! You are the best!!!”

“Neither of us enjoy being in front of the camera, but Tom’s relaxed and natural style was absolutely perfect. He seamlessly blended into the day, capturing so many candid and heartfelt moments without ever feeling intrusive - we often forgot he was there! During our private photo session, Tom made us feel completely at ease.
We are absolutely thrilled with our photos. The day went by so quickly, but thanks to Tom’s incredible talent, we now have the most beautiful images to look back on that truly capture the essence and joy of the day.”

DOCUMENTARY
WEDDING
PHOTOGRAPHY
I photograph weddings in a documentary style, which means I capture the moments of your special day in a natural and unobtrusive way. I believe the best photos always come when people are unaware of the camera and are 100% themselves.
Weddings should be a celebration for the bride and groom and not a long boring photo shoot. I like to blend into the day as much as possible and hopefully I will feel like one of your guests.
I won’t be showing up with multiple tripods, huge telephoto lenses or light stands. Instead, I carry just two Canon cameras attached to each hip, allowing me to stay lightweight and move swiftly to capture all the natural moments of your wedding.
All I ask is that you and your wedding party enjoy yourselves! I will make sure I am in the right place at the right time to capture all the action at your wedding!
DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
As well as photographing weddings in Kent and throughout the UK, I also like to travel abroad. I've been very fortunate to photograph weddings in Spain, Italy, Portugal & Greece. I love to travel so if you are looking to get married abroad then I would love to hear from you.
As a wedding photographer who has lived in Kent all his life, I can confidently say this county has it all!
Kent, otherwise known as the 'Garden of England,' is a beautiful county in the South East of England, bordered by the Thames Estuary to the north and the English Channel to the south. Canterbury is the only city in Kent, but the county is home to many charming towns that make wonderful places to get married, including Whitstable, Tunbridge Wells, Ashford, Rochester, Maidstone, and Dartford. The city of Canterbury is particularly renowned for its stunning cobbled streets and historic buildings, most notably Canterbury Cathedral. If you're lucky, you can even get married inside this iconic landmark—I have been fortunate enough to photograph a handful of wedding ceremonies in the Cathedral Crypts.
Kent is not only famous for its historic cities but also for its stunning countryside. Its lush green landscapes are well known for producing local goods and supporting diverse wildlife. Kent also boasts a thriving and growing wine industry, with vineyards becoming increasingly popular wedding venues. Some of the most sought-after vineyard locations in Kent include Squerryes Court and the Mount Vineyard in Shoreham. Additionally, Kent is the first county in the UK to release European bison into the wild, a conservation effort led by the Kent Wildlife Trust in Blean Woods.
Kent is home to vast areas of outstanding natural beauty, including the North Downs and the High Weald. The North Downs stretch from Surrey all the way to the White Cliffs of Dover. On a clear day, standing atop the famous white cliffs, you can see the coastline of France, just 26 miles across the Channel. You can also admire the historic Dover Castle from the cliffs, and with the Channel Tunnel only a 15-minute drive away, a trip to France takes just 45 minutes.
The Stunning County of Kent!
Kent is almost entirely surrounded by coastline, making it an ideal location for couples who wish to get married on the beach or with a sea view. Seaside towns such as Whitstable, known for its delicious oysters, and Margate, my hometown, are increasingly popular wedding destinations—especially among Londoners. Margate is also home to Dreamland and the Turner Contemporary Art Gallery, which is famous for featuring works by the artist Tracey Emin.
In 2022 Kent was one of the most popular counties for weddings in the UK, recording the highest number of registered marriages. Its popularity is due to its wide variety of venues and suppliers—not to mention its warmer weather, which is always a bonus! Whether you're looking for a barn in the countryside, a historic castle, a royal manor house, or a coastal ceremony, Kent has something to offer newly couple. There are so many beautiful venues to choose from in Kent. If your looking for elegance and style then Chapel House Estate should be on your list, for a Kent coastal vibe then No.42 by Guest House in Margate is the one and the Old Kent Barn is by far one of the busiest venues in Kent.
Wedding Photography
My journey into the world of photography started when I was 15 years old. My mum handed me the camera during a family sailing holiday in Greece and asked me to take a few shots of the scenery . As I put my eye to the viewfinder and composed the frame, a dolphin suddenly jumped out of the water into view. I quickly pressed the shutter release button and captured a very blurry image of the dolphin. Although it wasn’t the best photograph but that moment sparked my interest for photography.
When I got home to Kent, I started snapping away, no matter the subject. I would walk down to my local beach, Botany Bay, with my wide-angle lens and tri-pod to practice landscape photography, or I would spend the day at Port Lympne Zoo, trying to photograph the animals with my telephoto lens through the mesh cages.
I later integrated photography into my A-level Art projects and taught myself the basics, even experimenting in a darkroom to develop beautiful monochrome images. I spent hours researching different camera settings and how each one impacts the aesthetics and feeling of a photograph. I experimented with ISO, shutter speed, and aperture, as well as composition techniques such as leading lines, the rule of thirds, and the use of foreground and background. I also learned how to compose, expose, and edit my images in Adobe Lightroom to create beautiful finished photographs.
Looking at the images on my website, I like to think my craft has improved significantly since I first started. I began photographing weddings in Kent four years ago, and I have loved every minute of it! I quickly learned that there is so much more to capture at a wedding than just the traditional family group shots. From the emotions of your bridemaids and Dad during the bridal reveal, to guests enjoying cocktail hour, to elegant couple portraits during golden hour and that big, bellowing laugh from Uncle Bob during the best man’s speech, the pure joy and excitement on people's faces—weddings are full of fun, natural moments, making them a playground for a wedding photographer! I also love shooting engagement and proposal’s in and around Kent, you can find more information about this work here.
